I don't know how many of you guys here already use spywareblaster, but it has just been updated with a new interface, mozilla support and some other features. It looks sweet. What this program does is actually prevent spyware installations. Make sure to download this nice app.

Indeed, also now works beautifuly with Mozilla/Firefox too which is nice. :)

I would not dream of connecting to the web on a new system without installing this first.

SpywareGuard (http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/spywareguard.html) is also usefull. But I personally don't use it. Real time scaning of spyware is a little too much. Spyware doesn't really cause any harm like viruses bit it is an anoyane. I just do scans everyonce in a while. I don't want too many applications taking up system resources. Thats what I like about Spywarebaster, you only need to run once, and your system will be protected you won't need to keep it running.
