One more question. How do I open ports with my firewall for optimal Bittorrent download speeds?
You don't really need to open any ports with sygate as it does not block ports it blocks applications. But your router does if you have NAT enabled, so go into your router's config and input the port number into the port forwarding section.

You will get better speeds if you allow incoming connections as well. You're not using a router I take it? Create an Advanced rule - click Tools / Advanced rules - click ADD, and create a rule to:
- ALLOW
- Incoming TCP, LOCAL ports 6881-6889
However I'm not positive if Sygate Personal allows you to open a range, so if it doesn't you'll have to make a new advanced rule for each port you want to open.
I have used Sygate and have never found the need to open the ports in Sygate. The first time you open you your BT client and Sygate asks you permision for it to access the internet it gives the application permision to use any port that the application needs if you choose yes.

However I now noticed that Stryker_PornStar is trying to set up a router so he will have to deal with opening the ports there. Luckily for him it's really easy. :)
Yea, I was just trying to steer him away from the firewall and toward his router.
