arghhh, viruses spyware etc

Dunno what happened but this last few days have been a nightmare with popups, viruses etc. Cant remember being on any dodgy site unless i got it off a torrent ??

I ran registry mechanic and it showed loads of problems, that seems to be sorted now, ran adaware and that found some crap and when i run it again, it finds nothing, when i run spybot, it finds crap from xflive but cant remove it.

avg free keeps on finding a couple of trojans and says it has deleted them but keeps on finding them, the 2 trojans it finds are: backdoorSdBot.NJX and TrojanHorseGeneric.BTF

any ideas people

I'm using xp pro if it makes a dif.

the virus might keep comeing back because of the system restore function try turning it of and re running the virus progy you could try mcafee stinger its a free ware proggy that seems to cure most trojans virusis etc that i have had ialso use mcafee anti virus soft ware it updates itself all the time i could send you these if you can not find them but they are all over the web try here http://vil.nai.com/vil/stinger/ let me no how you get on best wishes
