Xbox360 Backwards compatibility question.

Are all the 360 going to be backwards compatible or only the expensive package models? At one website I read the core 360 will not be, just want to be sure.

The hard drive is required for backward compatibility. If you buy the core you will need to get a hard drive at some point in order to play old xbox games.
