USB to serial connection

Want to connect my Joystick to my pc - it's a serial conenction however and I only have USB ports.

Looking at a USB device which you can plug a serial cable into it.

Do these work ok once you've got them? Same functtonality as having a regular serial port in your pc?

Also, what's the best and cheapest place to buy one in the UK (Online or otherwise).

Are you sure that your joystick has a serial connection, and not a gameport connection? A gameport port is 15 pins and a serial port is only 9 pins. However they do manufacture adapters for both.
