View Full Version : Laptop won't shut down :(

ok, i have a packard bell laptop, running windows xp sp1
and it won't seem to shut down, or if it does it takes ages like 10mins
anyideas on what this could be?
i have tried a defrag, but still no good

same happened with me......it just hung for around 30 mins.....in the end i pulled out the battery, re booted, no problems with it since tho, didnt lose any work either....really:mad: tho..............i still dont know how it happened......i was playing max payne at the time, maybe there was a confict with it

Usually to do with hardware or software conflicts. Has it always done this or just since a system change or software installation?

yeah, it has only really happened over the last 3 months or so, somtimes it shutsdown, sometimes it doesn't

it hasnt happened with me again since i uninstalled max payne.....software conflict?

I think so. Probably video drivers or something.
