hi peeps,

currently have a Acoustic Solutions AS 222

http://www.acousticsolutions.net/product.asp?ID=164

its plugged into my Toshiba SD340e dvd player via the analogue 2 channel audio.

so i belive its not using the 5:1 system to the max is it?

i was thinking of buying a decoder (no more than £100 really), was looking at the "Creative Decoder DDTS-100" http://www.creative.com/products/product.asp?category=4&subcategory=136&product=9468

the dvd play has these connections:
- Analogue 2 channel audio
- Co-axial audio
- Component video
- Composite video
- Optical audio and SCART (RGB)

i presume i will have no problem connecting this to the dvd player but how do i connect it to the 5:1 setup?

http://www.acousticsolutions.net/PRODUCTS/IMS/AS222.pdf

thats the manual for the 5:1 setup from the acoustic solutions site but the front of it looks nawt like that but the back is the same lol

will it all connect together fine? i cant find a rear picture for the decoder so i cant see if it will, the spec sheet dunt help me much cause i dont know what all the cables are lol.

thanks

Looks like the speakers attach to the switch box though the diagram shows only 3 outputs into the speakers...strikes me as being pc speaker-oriented.

Might be easier to buy a dvd player which has a decoder and 5/6.1 outputs built in...or even a cheapish amp, though the speakers you mention wouldn't justify it http://ws3.richersounds.com/productlist.php?cda=productlist&sgroup=AVRECEIVERS
