I just bought this Xbox...

I had to give up my Xbox of old, got it the day they came out, and finally was able to find a great deal on eBay. Normally I really wouldn't buy a system from there but this one looks really good and the seller has a steller rating so the question I have about it is.... if you look at the picture of the box with the baseball game on top of it, under the game is a picture of a football, from the NCAA Football 2004 or 2005. And that's the question was it 2004 or 2005 and what version if you know? The system came with the NCAA football and Topspin Tennis on one disc. Was it last years system? He says in the write up that he's only had it less than a year, or a year. Can this be? It does look good though and for the money I couldn't turn it down even with the 360 coming out.... and also what's the best way to mod the thing? I'm not up on all the new ways to mod the Xbox. Actually you can find used ones at stores now for $100 withoout shipping
Dont know it has the manufacture date on the bottom of it
You can do it without a chip if you use krazies softmod (also can get all the exact same benefots as a chip)
Chips are great to just depends on what you like

the ncaa 05/ topspin systems are version 1.6, you can chip or softmod but no tsop flashing option.

Go to your local eb games or gamestop, I find systems for $120 used.

I don't know if you guys have Gamecrazy's around there, but they have lowered used xbox prices to $99. With everything included

Gamecrazy is the same here too they are excited about the xbox 360 they want to clear inventory they also say price will drop to $99 for new ones when the 360 comes out we'll see ;)

Gotta make some more money to pay the bills and such. In the meantime I'm looking forward to getting the Xbox back and having some fun before the 360 hits.
