The message could not be sent because one of the recipients was rejected by the server. The rejected e-mail address was 'grantorrock1@ukonline.co.uk'. Subject 'mp3', Account: 'pop3.tesco.net', Server: 'smtp.tesco.net', Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '550 relaying mail to ukonline.co.uk is not allowed', Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 550, Error Number: 0x800CCC79

Excuse me if this is an obtuse question - do you mean that you get the same error message no matter who you send mail to?

And did you ever try to send an email to "grantorrock@..." with the title 'mp3'?

Also what software are you using? I would say first of all have a look in your "outbox" and if that message exists there then delete it.

If its not so simple then maybe this is a virus thing and someone will tell you all about it presently, are you running any antivirus software?

... come to think of it, i think this has something to do with your ISP's server blocking ports ... vague memory bells tinkling ... I suggest you phone your ISP, I suspect your settings are wrong.

have you tried mailing from a webmail account? Then at least you could find out if it's your end or his end that the problem is.

in general the relaying error means that you are connected to one ISP and trying to send through another ISP's smtp server. Therefore as you are trying to send to Tesco's smtp server you would need to be connected to Tesco ISP, through dialup etc. If you are connected to another ISP, e.g. Freeserve, you need to enter their SMTP server details in your account settings.
