Counter Strike Cd Key Problems - Where on my Box is it ?

I bought Counter Strike today and trying to go online it keeps saying CD Key I put in number on instruction book it refuses it, then I tried a number on back of case - didn't work either.

Can someone please let me know where it is ? It's the new on with the two anti-terrorists on cover with blue writting on white bavckground cheers

it's ok solved it went on to Steam thing and clicked buy game then I already own game and it was sorted. Apparently it's a common problem.
