norton flashed up a warning that a trojan had been detected and norton could not repair the file. I ran a virus scan soon after but that showed a clean bill of health. Does that mean that norton has destroyed it or do I need to do something else.

Many thanks in advance

Hi :)
Do a search for Trojan removal s/w, there are loads around. Some free, others free trial. Norton seems to have a blindspot to some Trojans, so that even though it identifies one whilst scanning. It then appears to lose it.

If i have physicaly found the file (it is a PF file that has been blocked by my microsoft beta soyware scanner, but not deleted.) if i delete this file, will it go. Although blocked, it keeps popping up anti spyware has blocked a possible windows trojan. it has todays date & time it was first detected on the file. scanner won't delete. i am running spyware doctor just now (so far it has found 86 infections, microsoft, eh, now showing nil, worried it won't delete it)

on the microsoft i get an option to select the item & remove, but i am worried it is only going to rmove the block allowing the item to do what a trojan does.
