You said post again if I got stuck, well guess what......
Here's my original thread,

I've got it connected to my pc without any problems at all, eg.
ethernet cable from modem to router, then the other cable plugged into socket 1 on the router to my pc.
Went through the set up process without a hitch (decided to give techi support a ring just to be on the safe side).
The guy from LinkSYS techi support said now the the router was set up all I needed to do was switch the laptop on install the wireless card and I'd be online straight away.......Not so, I'm affraid :bawling:
I phoned a relative who sold me the laptop and he said I needed to make sure the Laptop and router/pc were communicating with each other by making sure the DNS or something like that matched up, and to configure the ip address so that matched up. Alot of it went over my head and he was
really busy so I didn't want to take up to much of his time.
Don't know if this important but the laptop is a good 4 years old and is running Windows 98SE.
So my question is what do I do next?
