Great idea introducing an MP4 forum mods- i got the feeling that near the end it was consuming the old VCD forum
Mods, not sure what your views on it are, but I thought I'd post a link to doom9's last Codec Comparison- might help some people on deciding which codec to use:
March 2003 Codec Comparison (http://www.doom9.org/codecs-103-1.htm)
Jan 2004 Codec Comparison (http://www.doom9.org/codecs-203-1.htm) This is pretty up to date- Has Nero's new recode codec, but unfortuneately no RV10
I take no credit for this comparison (that goes to the guys at doom9) but found it useful in choosing a codec to use hopefully some of you guys who are relatively new to the MP4 scene may find it useful too
Just bear in mind that some of the new divx/xvid players probably at the moment aren't compatible with some of the very latest codec relases.
