I've been asked to go and have a look at a mates computer.
He's got a relatively fresh install of XP on (2 weeks old) and was trying to install Norton Systemworks (although apparently he never did successfully) and now his CD ROM and DVD drives are no longer visible under explorer or the command prompt.
Anyone got any ideas? From a hardware point of view he's not touched his box since they were working, and they're both still viewable under device manager. Apparently he tried removing them from device manager, rebooting, it found them and readded them, but still no drive letters??
