Hi.

Any recommendations on software to balance bandwidth usage on a router? Have 3 PC's going & don't one one of them hogging the data.

Thanks.

Unless you are running a PC as a router, you can not load software on a router...however, depending on the router, you can define traffic shaping (balancing). What brand/model do you have?

I use the cFOs driver myself but don't think you can even run that using a router. :(

If you are using a router, then creating a 2nd gateway will always do the trick.

Router is Billion 5100. I thought I'd seen reference before to software solutions that can balance bandwidth but maybe I'm wrong?

I've found software called "netlimiter" which might do the job. I'll let you know how it goes.

Tried netlimiter but it only works on 1 PC. e.g. you can limit your own download speed to free up other users but you cannot limit the other users.

Any other ideas on what I can do?
