AvI to MPG 2

I have about 8gig of avi video that I want to convert to MPG 2 (if possible) any help would be appreciated.

So this is DV footage? If so then it would already be DVD res with 48KHz audio. You could just drop it straight into CCE.

Could also check out QuEnc, although you would need to create a simple AVSynth script first. Could also use TMPGEnc, MainConcept, etc., etc.
