A m8 just bought a (at the minute)totally useless PSP ver 2.0 from the local "GAME" store.

The guy behind the counter told him that he would be able to download games from the internet and play them from the memory stick (which is totally untrue).

For you beginners out there please be aware that any PSP on sale in a UK shop at this minute in time cannot play games from the MS.

The models on sale here at the minute seem to be mostly 2.0 which as far as I can see from reading around the forums is some way off from being hacked.

There seem to be some 1.51 models about which may not be too far away from being sorted.

The bottom line is - If you want to play games from your stick then get onto E-Bay and buy a Jap or US ver 1.0 or 1.50. The loaders work great and there are around 60 games readily at your disposable.

Hope this helps

Steve

well apparently most models at the moment are versions 1.52 now some shops are updating the firmware before selling, and some are telling you to do it from the demo disk ;)

Tell you m8 to go back to the store and slap that ill informed twat upside the head with his PSP. Trust me, it'll hurt, lol.

Just got mine yesterday from Choices @ Castle Vale (Brum) with ver 1.52 I don't fancy putting the demo disk in though in case it auto updates to ver 2.0

I put my demo disc in m8 and it didn't upgrade it automatically

Remember guys, it's only a demo disk. So I wouldn't even bother with that myself personally. We all own a game (God forbid two games, lmfao) and so should you lot. :)
