I am having trouble with my DVD Burner. It is a Pioneer 107D. It was working fine, but now it won't even read a DVD or DVD-R! When I put a DVD/DVD-R in it, the little green light just stays on and it won't go off. It doesn't flash or anything! Just stays on. I was using DVD-Shrink and it was in the writing process and it came up with an error something about me not using the proper media (DVD-R/DVD+R and DVD-RW/DVD+RW), but I was using a blank DVD-R. I had bought some blank DVD's from Office Depot (They were the Office Depot brand). Would this have anything to do with it? I checked the DVD-R's with DVDInfoPro and the media was showing up as Ritek G05. However, I have burned two discs so far and both have failed. Can anyone help me? :bawling: Thanks in advance!

Sounds like your burner took a crap on you. You could try cleaning the inside of the drive out but I had pretty much the same thing happen to my first 105. Thankfully good DVD Burners are dirt cheap these days. The NEC 3540A can be had for less than $50 shipped and the new Pioneer 110 isn't much more expensive from www.newegg.com. As for the media, what on earth are you doing fooling around with the likes of Ritek G05 when Taiyo Yuden is so cheap here in the US?
