How can I edit a pdf file i recieved?

Hi just wondering how i edit a pdf file,I can view it in adobe reader, but i need to edit some text and keep it in pdf form

Whats the best way dont want to buy software really

You will certainly need a pdf writer application, can't say I have seen any free ones though.
