My hard drive is make strenge noise...

My hard drive is make some strenge noise and i can't access my hard drive anymore. it gave me a disk read error when i try to boot it up. it makes the same noise when i try to use my external hard drive case to access it.

today when i was researching what happen to my hard drive, i found out that my IBM Deathstar (Deskstar) 60gig hard drive has a bad history. so i guess my hard drive is dead right? is there any way to retrive the data from it other than pay someone to do it?

Sounds like its dead dude. You can try hooking it up as a slave, most times you can retrieve the data.
