send/receive etc buttons from top of my outlook express have disappeared.
any ideas how to get them back?

Right Click in the Icons panel and choose Customise .... this should give you what you want.
Or if all the Icons have disappeared .. Right Click in the Menus Panel and tick up "Toolbar"
