Unless you are overclocking the hell out of your machine...then no. Besides, to many people complain that they leak. My opinion its a waste of money.

i got it to try but it wasnt keeping cooler than the fan i had on.so will take it back.

Shame I hadn't gotten here before you bought it.

As you have now come to the conclusion, it's useless. Maybe a gimmick, but no more efficient than a normal HSF.
