Hey, my site is Here (http://www.blu-raytalk.com/) (not named for forum rules). And for some reason the forum page doesn't come up.... I've come up with 2 possibliltys my host might be having a problem with mysql data bases or it has something to do with me uploading a file called .htaccess, I was trying to make my forums googlebot friendly... anyway I didn't go through with it and tried to delete it but doesn't show up in my ftp directory just thought this might be a possibilty since thats the last thing I did before going into my forums...
I know the mods here will have an idea to help me and I hope any of members can too..
Thanks for your help

Thats the thing I can't cause it doesn't show in my directory I even loaded it again afew times and it still doesn't show... Thats abit wired if you ask me.... I don't have a clue what this htaccess file is that they made me upload but it had something to do with being a phpbb forum hack.... Cause I have webstatistics the requires a mysql data base to work and thats working fine.... So I can't see it being the host..

What was the resolution postmaster might help others in the future if they decide to use the search function:idea:
.htaccess files will never show up, it's the way linux/unix works, there's nothing wrong with your host. Best way to delete one IMHO is just to upload a blank text file as .htaccess - problem solved.

Ok googd idea...
If anyone ever uses cuteftp
This is how to find hidden files:
"You can set up CuteFTP to display these hidden files as follows. Open up the Edit menu and select the Filter option. Check the box next to Enable Remote Filters and enter the two characters -a in the Remote Filter box. Finally, click OK to confirm the change.
The next time you make an FTP connection to your account you will be able to see a number of hidden files which were not visible before. As always, please be careful not to delete any pre-installed system files or folders, unless you know what you are doing, as many of these files are necessary for the smooth running of your account."
Anyway I did this and it worked I deleted the .htaccess and my forum is working great.
