I just redid my PC so it is not like its filled with a bunch of crap screwing up my PC. Its a clean WINXP pro install. Azureus keeps crashing randomly on me. One second its up and running....the next i come back and its gone. No error, nothing. Its just not running anymore. It happened as quickly as within the first 2 minutes i started it to overnight. But it happens fairly frequently (for me anyway). It is the most recent version of Azureus and my WinXP pro is up to date. It is a P4 3.06 ghz with 1gb of Corsair DDR 333 and its ONLY used for downloading.

Is there ever a day that goes by when you aren't having some kind of PC problem?! :)

From the limited information you provided people would only be guessing as to the cause of Azureus crashing. Do you have anything running in the background? Did you trying uninstalling\reinstalling Azureus? Is the PC itself stable?

Azureus does have it's own help forums. You should try getting help there too.

Hey Nicki, What qwerty means by stable....is the hardware stable, such as memory(is it dodgy), the cpu isnt overheating or your not overclocking, programs it might conflict with...stuff like that.

yeah its all stable. Nothing is overclocked or anything. The only things that are installed in the PC are Norton Systemworks and Internet Security , Firefox, and drivers

Norton Systemworks and Internet Security

Thats probably your problem. Disable it then try it.

no. i have it set to allow the program to access the internet. Even if it was blocking it, it would just leave Azureus at 0kbps, not just close it. Ive been running nortons with it for a long time and never had problems.

Java RE 5 update 5.
Azureus just dissapears. After googleing awhile i found that the problem wasnt in azureus, but in java virtual machine. Try searching for hs_err_pid* files (they are in azureus directory.)

My logs say that:
#
# An unexpected error has been detected by HotSpot Virtual Machine:
#
# EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION (0xc0000005) at pc=0x6d6b7d29, pid=1216, tid=1072
#
# Java VM: Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (1.5.0_05-b05 mixed mode)
# Problematic frame:
# V [jvm.dll+0x77d29]
#

On java site, it is submitted as a bug already, and being worked on.
I downloaded a previous release of azureus about 10 minutes ago, and its working right now, ill let u know if it crashes.
