MSN messenger problem

Been trying for a week to connect to msn messenger. I cant under my username but under my mums i can. What can i do this is really starting to pee me off because i use msn to communicate with overseas business partners. any ideas?

ps. i have tried older versions of msn, and third party messenger progs like trillian. even tipicme on my cell phone cant connect to msn network...

I know this goes against the grain, but I had probs last year and I emailed M$.
To my surprise, they responded within half an hour asking me some security questions. I replied and within another half hour, they reset my password and gave me instructions to secure/access my account.
I was really taken back by the service.

Yeah great game mate apart from the last 10 mins - a bit nerve-racking and I wanted the win.......as for the problem have you tried resetting/changing your password in hotmail and then re-signing in? A Bit similar to what Phil was saying above

changed my password and no joy. i have now emailed ms.

Is your hotmail account (or account you used to register to get passport) still in use, becasue they close them down after 30 days no use?
