Hello people, I am sorry for bothering you all, I am not pc illiterate, I am quite well clued up on the workings of stuff so you can be technical if you wish but first, here is my problem:
I installed a bluetooth dongle but the system crashed I restarted and got a bsod saying driver not equal...... says system file viamraid.sys (1d)
The other worrying thing is that I have a serial ATA Hard Drive and the power adapter going to it I later found out was making and braking contacts
When the system boots, it goes as far as the windows xp sign with the little blue scroller then bsod every time.
Cant get into safe mode, or try to get into the repair console.
When I try to get into reinstalling windows or the recovery console, first all the drivers are loaded and then windows examines the disk it is at this point, I get a bsod...????????????
I have tried partition magic on it to format but it says it cant do it because the disk has been improperly dismounted. How can I run chkdsk /R on a raid system without using windows own??
If I could get up and running again, I would be forever gratefull
Pentium 4 2.8
soyo P4vtp
Sata 160 gig, 8mb cache
1024mb Ram
DVD\rw
CD\rw
DVD\Rom
Nvidia fx5900xtUltra 256mb
Running Media center 2005 with sp2 and all updates
Regards, Sie.
