Need new hard drive

looking for new hard drive, 80gb to 120gb, prob go for seagate or maxtor, needs to be ata 133, 8mb cache,

Any recommendations?

Is there a speed increase when moving to the 120gb?

well as far as i know the only people who actualy do ata133 is Maxtor, the other main manufacturers e.g. IBM/Hitachi, Western Digital, Seagate are all ata100.

to be honest I wouldn't worry about this as the speeds gained as as good if not better with the new ata100 drives. From memory the new Western Digital drives are per mb/sec transfer rate, the quickest drives on the market.

i have used most of the above, and really all that can be said is you either get a good drive, or on a rare occasion you get a faulty drive, it makes no difference what manufacturer you get.
