Need help with playing back videos

Hi i just reinstalled windows on this computer and i notived that when i try to play videos that they are washed out and the colors are off. i played around with different codecs but nothing has changed. can anyone help me out with this?

divx and xvid should be enough to play avi's....what extension have your videofiles?

it happens with all my videos mpeg avi wmv everything. at first i would think my video card but everything else looks fine. i didnt change any hardware i just re installed windows

Did you try another player?
Try this 1:http://www.videolan.org/
If you have installed a codec pack,remove it and install just xvid,divx and ac3filter codecs....

tried it and its still the same. im going to try to reinstall windows and all m drivers
