Internet problems help ?

In the last week everything as went really slow to fail in terms of logging on to the internet

every time I try to go to a web site it defaults to an address that starts

ad starware

My anitvirus package etc is not picking it up

Any ideas?

Have you tried reseting your modem/router?

Have you have done the usual spyware scans with adaware, spybot, spysweeper, etc..

Clean all your cache/cookies/temp files.

Can't help you anymore without your specs.

Yup, sounds like you are under the spell of spyware - best bet is to read here (http://www.dvdrom-guide.com/forums/showthread.php?t=7018) and follow religiously.

Your AVG software won't pick up spyware, its a different monkey.

Dunno how knowing your specs is gonna help though :suspic:

By knowing his OS, ISP, and wether he has cable/dsl, etc...
