anyone using the softmod font exploit should checkout the catfish fonts halfway down this page > Fonts (http://forums.maxconsole.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=571)

I tested them on a K4034 xbox and it went direct to the clock screen on 1st boot, didnt even need the network cable attached.

Plus these fonts give you the added benefit of loading the original MS dash first (no need to hex edit) the live tab is replaced with a Pheonix tab so you can launch PBL from there and if thats not enough the fonts also allow direct booting of backups.

After installing them to C:\fonts , rename the original fonts with the extension of "bak".

They will run Habibi-signed xbe's in this order...

1st, Retail game OR D:\default.xbe (habibi-signed from the DVD along side of a copy named "catfish.xbe"
2rd E:\Hakurs\default.xbe
3th E:\default.xbe
4th E:\Phoenix\default.xbe (default install point)

No, I'm not vain... Because retail DVD's would generate error 21, I had to change the DVD filename the exploit looked for. I am rather happy about this as this lets u habibi-sign most xbe's and burn them to CD or DVD and u never have to launch PBL. U can even power-up with one of these disks in the drive and the fonts still kick in.

Yes, good to point this out Dunny! I tried this and it DOES indeed eliminate the clock-loop problem using the font exploits. What I did is leave my already-exploited C drive as is, except putting my new Catfish fonts in the font folder, and copying my original fonts that are renamed with the 'bak' extension. Then I also left my E drive as is, with the exception of adding the a new folder called 'phoenix'. Inside the phoenix folder you simply place whatever XBE file you want to run when the Xbox Live tab is selected at the main menu (Which will now be named 'Phoenix") and sign it with the Habbibi key. In my case I went ahead and used Phoenix Bios Loader 1.3.5. I am happy to report that even when I leave my Xbox unplugged for awhile it just goes to the clock set screen! No more rebooting over and over waiting for B&E Reloaded to set the clock for you. On a side note, if you have a 5530 Kernal Xbox, you can exploit that too, but Phoenix Bios Loader will not run on it. You can still play backups though: Just put EvolutionX's default xbe file in the E:\phoenix folder, this will allow you to ftp to your Xbox. You can also run DVDR backups by simply signing all the xbe files found in the game's iso with the Habbibi key. They can run from the HD that way too with this exploit.
So, in short, thank you Dunny for pointing this out, as it will save many people from the dreaded clock-loop, and make running an exploit a little safer all together. Also, thanks to Catfish for taking the time to hex-edit for hours on end to get this to run like it does.
