Nero burn button greyed out

Hi Folkz... just a small niggling problem :insane:

I have nero express and am trying to back up on DvD video, I go through each section on saving and adding and when I get to the end where it says on the screen "Burn" it is all greyed out, anybody have an idea on what I am doing wrong?

Did you choose the right Recorder ?

I think I have the right recorder picked ? gives me 2 options on the final burner settings. Just before that when I save the files the blue bar shows the length of the files it is burning then click next

1. Pioneer 106D
2, Image recorder (DVD)

which ever one I choose the button is still greyed out anyway.

just wondering, could this be a trial vs licensed version issue- not 100% sure.

also try doing it in using the nero burning rom interface as opposed to nero vison express- select the burner- select "new compilation" (the button at the top left) choose dvd (as opposed to cd) in the dropdown menu. choose dvd-video and click on the new button (right side) then drag the video_ts folder in the browser into the video_ts folder on the dvd and then choose burn

Ahhh Nimbles you may have something there..it is an OEM nero disk? would that make a difference.

yes it could make a difference if the version of OEM is different from the manufacturer of burner you have.

yeah or if you got nero oem with your cd writer- not sure but i'd try getting the latest version from nero (6.3.1.6) not sure what limitations are on the trial/demo version but you may be able to at least burn a dvd-video.

You will however have to have a registered version to make use of the additional packs (nero burning rom is pack 1, Recode (avi and dvdshrink-esque prog- without the decrypter) is pack 2, Nero in-cd (sort of make your dvd/cd rw an additonal drive) is pack 3, and pack 4 i have no idea.

It works ok with Shrink, but if I want to burn direct I will have to use another burning software .

Hi Hook, If Ya out there, If you want to Upgrade from a version 5.x.x.x n U want it to Work, then Only Update with Versions 5.5.10.20/28/43/or as i got 5.5.10.56....Works a Treat.....6 will only work if its New with Correct Serial.(bought!!)...

Ok now found it ..6.0.0.17.

Latest 6.xx version is I believe 6.3.1.6.

But as its an OEM..cant really do much with it :(
