Serious computer problems!!!!Help!!

Right here the story goes!!!

For weeks now my pc has been switching on and off on its own..... i thought maybe overheating but i dont think thats it...

now whenever i print anything out i cannot print again till i turn the damn thing off and back on again..... and if pc turns of i get a serious error screen on start up. always sumat to do with minidump and a temp file.

any ideas on this..its doing my head in now....

Start with testing the RAM, then perhaps reinstall OS. PSU can cause the PC to go on/off, as can a bad CPU, but neither would cause the printing issue.

how do i test the ram m8? cud it be that i havent enough. think its got 512 mb

the only way to test ram is to try another stick.if you have two 256meg sticks try removing one.

You don't say how long it stays on for before switching off n on.....(Do you mean it's Restarting by itself)..
If you think it's Overheating, then check the Temps in your Bios or Download n install a Temp program that is compatible with your board..
Also goto "Control Panel">Power Options....Check to see if it's set correctly.
