10,000rpm hard drive show much improvment over a 7200rpm?
for booting times, gaming etc..
cheers
well, if the pc can read disk-data quick enough [ie- ram+cpu], then bootup an gameload should be quicker :)
What does the PC have to do with reading "disk-data?"
The only thing that matters is if your If your SATA Channel does not go through the PCI bus, and has a direct link to the south bridge. Hence, there being no bottle neck.
10,000 RPM hard drives have faster seek times and load times. I.E: Computer boots faster, programs/games loads faster, copy and paste faster, slightly better performance in gaming when it uses the page file, and faster defrags.
And if you are refering to the WD Raptor, it comes with a 5 year warrantly.
