Do they all have the same firmware ?if not flash them so the firmware is the same on all 109's
are they all set to master ?

Have a look on the back of your 109s
there is a removable link make
shure the link is on the m or master and not on sl or slave
If you have a hard drive then set that to master
your reader dvd rom set to slave
page 52 of the maual shows you how to check the firmware of the 109s
not got a manual?
mail me and i will scan the relevant pages

thanks daveygilly

I checked the firmware and it's different on the two writers that aren't copying, so, I've downloaded the latest firmware for the drives and need to know how to update them using the dupe?

Anyone? This is driving me nuts. I only have two drives working at the moment and they burn at very slow speeds!!

I may be wrong, but I dont think you can flash them in the Dupe .... easist way is to fit them temporarily into your PC and flash them.

Phil is right you need to put each writer in your puter and flash them so they all have the same firmware
Slow speed is your reader set to read speed max. try a writer as a reader( menu 11 select source ide 1) i think , try different media, what condition is the origional disc in ie is it clean no fingerprints
what speed are u expecting?.....about 20 min at 4x .... 15 min at 8x aprox if u are expecting faster then your reader must be able to keep up with the writer,
i am not sure but i dont think it is possible to copy faster than 8x on a dupe on the fly.it may be possible if u use a hard drive as a reader
