I'm looking for a new 5.1 Divx compatible DVD player that has the 2 L and R audio input jack sockets as well as the six 5.1 audio outputs!---------------i want to connect the L and R outputs from my TV to the player this way.
Sorry it's a bit of a mouthful :), but i just bought a new 'Dual' brand one from Asda and it doesn't have these 2 jack sockets and i had to return it--------- i looked around at other players but i havent seen a compatible one or i need to see the back of the DVD player to check first.
They used to all have these 2 sockets , but not it seems on some of the new DIVX MPEG players.
Any help greatly appreciated Guys!
Cheers,

Which models/manufacturers have you looked at? Phillips, JVC and KiSS are some of the manufacturers I know of offering DivX players.

Alright, I think I get what you're trying to do from your other two posts. Unless the player also records DVD discs, you aren't going to find one with audio inputs. What would be the point?

You need to purchase a reciever that has ProLogic II cricuitry. this will give you a pseudo surround from your TV.
