help please
my m8 and his family r emigrating to from uk to canada he won't be able to use his ps2 console but will he able to use his existing games on a ps2 bought there
if not is there any way round this

Sorry I'm slightly confused but I'll try to answer you.
Any UK PAL game bought in the UK will only work on a UK console and the same applies to NTSC Canadian PS2's and games.
However if he has one of the recent modchips then I don't think he should have any problems as they essentially make the console 'Multi-region'.
Also, I'm not sure why he won't be able to use his UK console out there? I thought that the mains power levels were about the same now in UK and North America, and if anything they will be lower in North America, so I can't see why there would be any problems. Don't hold me to that though. :hdspin:

A modchip in the ps2 will allow it to play any game from any region. Not sure what the mains voltage is in Canada but in the States its 110v.
So, get it chipped, buy and fit the correct PSU and you're back in business!
