Matrix install prob

Hi all,

Was hoping to find an answer but cant seem to http://www.ps2-scene.org/forums/images/smilies/frown.gif have buzzed out wiring and found it correct.

So hoping all you ps2 experts can help

I just chipped a slimline ps2 v12. with a Matrix Infinity.

the ps2 boots fine but i cant get it to read the firmware cd? just come up with the red screen of death :bawling:

i Presume the chips come empty like xbox chips?

I have tried holding circle and triangle during boot but ps2 just boots normally?

I have tried an original game and that boots fine.

Please Help

Ps have installed numerous chip with this one being the first to cause me probs

Put Upgrade CD into PS2 and put PS2 into standby.
Press "reset button" and keep pressed until blue light turn ON (on V1-V11).
(For the V12 press reset button from standby for 2-3 seconds as there is
no blue light).
Leave "reset button" and Upgrade CD will boot.
Follow on-screen instructions to complete the Upgrade procedures.


Done that but only held power button for 1 second rather than the 2-3.....

Fault cleared :D
