Just picked up on the of those cheap Asda DVD player/surround sound dealies and was hooking it into the setup and encountered a problem.
I want to connect the Xbox upto the DVD player to take advantage of the surround sound so I used the standard MS lead into the "game" inputs (3 phonos - should be direct video passthrough output) but I only get a black screen with sound (you can see the briefest of Xbox dashboard outlines on the screen) unless I loosen the SCART block on the back of the DVD player so that its not fully in.
The SCART block is fully wired - methinks that one of the wires will have to go as that is what is causing this situation. Only thing is which one?
Anyone got any ideas or experienced this kind of thing before?
Thanks
