anybody know the cheapest place to buy 256mb SD memory cards in the uK?

ebuyer (http://www.ebuyer.com/customer/products/index.html?action=c2hvd3N1YmNhdGVnb3J5X3NlYXJjaA==&cat_uid=36) or 7dayshop (http://www.7dayshop.com/catalog/default.php?cPath=777_4_401) usually seem to be the cheapest for memory cards- could also try crucial (http://www.crucial.com/uk/store/listmfgr.asp?cat=Flash), they're pretty good too, and their memory is properly branded as well

Crucial was best for me in the end, lifetime warranty, special delivery included and quality cards

thanks. btw could anybody recommend and cheapish digital camera (must take decent pics tho) and a mobile phone that works in sardinia that will allow me to phone the uk?

Can't go wrong with the canon a60 amazon were doing it for £100- you may be able to get a free 256mb card with that (the thread is on here- i think)- although the free card is a mail off job and it may be too late to get it (one of those while stocks last)- do note though that thte a60 uses compact flash (cheaper) rather than sd cards.

as for the phone- any phone will work provided:
a) you get in unlocked if you expect to get a local sim card and use that while in sardinia.
b) if you choose to stay with your network provider here, you inform them that you are going over there and activate "international roaming".

to call people here replace the first 0 in the number with "+44" (so 020-8123-4567, would become +4420-8123-4567- i apologise if there is someone with that number ;))

I don't think for europe you need a tri-band phone (its pretty much US only that requires the third band) although someone else will probably know better

ordered one of the cameras, looks good. free 128mb card :) offer expires 31st dec 2004 :)

just got to get a phone now.
