23 avi's to merge then put to dvd

Apologies if this has been asked.

I downloaded the family guy season 3 and they all are avi's. About (20 or so of them) I know how to convert them, but how can I seperate them into chapters and put like 6 episodes on 1 dvd. Will spruce up work?

Any authoring package should be OK; Ulead Movie Factory is simple to use and should be fine; just feed it the MPEG2 files, select the menu you want and you're away.

If you've got Nero Vision Express give it a shot.

Chapter points should be added at I frames only so you would either need to adjust the chapter points to match the closest I frame or use something like CCE where you can force an I frame when encoding.

You might want to check out DVDLab or TMPGEnc DVD Author for authoring.
