help with removing adware

have this adware installed on my pc tried everything to get rid of it

adware.cdt
used norton antivirus
spybot search and destroy

in norton follow instruction where to delete the files but nothing is there its doing my head in

please help

I believe that you're going to have to edit the registry as described HERE (http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/adware.cdt.html). However you might want to try turning off system restore, then reboot into safe mode. Then run both updated spybot and ad-aware. This might not work, but it's a whole lot easier than editing your registry.
